Jammu: An infiltration bid from across the border was foiled by security forces in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu district on Monday morning.
According to sources, one infiltrator was killed in the firing between the Border Security Force personnel and the Pakistan Rangers.
This is the fourteenth time that Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the international border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in the last fortnight.

According to sources, there was heavy exchange of fire between the Border Security Force personnel and the Pakistan Rangers.
The Pakistani Rangers fired on Indian posts of Mala Bela, Garkhal, Sidra camp and Naka Number-10 along IB in Akhnoor at around 10.30 pm on Sunday night, officials said.
The firing was aimed to facilitate a group of militants into Indian territory.
"We observed movement of suspected militants along border", they said.
