The 9th class students, who are now being treated at a hospital, were punished by the teacher for making too much noise during her absence.
The angry teacher asked the students to do a 100 sit-ups. When they refused, she beat them up till they fainted.
School authorities have suspended the teacher while the police has lodged a case against her after angry parents stormed the school premises and sought police action.
