London: Though legendary Hollywood actress Jane Fonda once herself succumbed to cosmetic surgery to get rid of bags under her eyes, she has now stood up to warn others not to follow her footsteps.
And, even if that makes her vulnerable or an easy target for cynical journalists, the beautiful actress apparently has shown enough courage to campaign against something, she underwent herself years ago.
The veteran Hollywood beauty recently signed a $700,000 deal to become the face of L'Oreal Paris anti-ageing treatment cream, and considers herself to be perfect for endorsing the product.
"Somebody's got to give a face to getting old. I'm going to try and organise other women in my profession and my friends to say no to the duck lips and getting rid of the wrinkles," the Daily Mail quoted the 68-year-old, as saying.
Fonda, who recently posed for a magazine cover without make-up, wants to encourage more natural beauty in Hollywood.
"I've just travelled through Sweden and Finland, looking at faces that were real as opposed to, in Hollywood, (where) everybody is starting to looking alike," she added.
