Click to play videoNew Delhi: The Andaman administration is expected to submit its report to the Home Ministry on Thursday, explaining what happened and who was responsible for the alleged 'human safari'.
A British newspaper, 'The Observer', set off a storm after releasing a video, which shows members of the protected Jarawa tribe dancing for tourists in the Andaman Islands.
According to the report, the video was shot during the course of a human safari, in the protected tribal reserve. It claims a policeman was bribed 200 pounds and he instructed the tribal women to dance.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had asked for a status report in 24 hours on the Andaman tribals after the video surfaced.
The Andaman police, however, downplayed the video, calling it an 'old one' and blamed the British journalist of forcing the Jarawas to dance for the tourists.
But 'The Observer', that carried the report claimed the video was not old. 'The Observer' journalist Gethin Chambarlain added, "Bribing the cops costs Rs 15,000 to the tourists. Six months back, a police officer was disciplined for doing so."
The journalist also refused to divulge when it was shot, but said it was not old.
