Jewish community to rebuild Nariman House

New Delhi: It's been a month since terrorists ravaged Nariman House, killing six people.

However, this Hanukkah - or the festival of lights - the Jewish community has resolved to rebuild the five-storey building in Colaba as a tribute to Rabbi Holtzberg and his wife Rivka.

And that's not all. Several Chabad representatives and Rabbi Holtzberg's parents will light menarahs at Nariman house and the Gateway of India to mark the festival and pay homage to the victims of Nariman House.

The Holtzbergs ran the Mumbai centre for the ultra-orthodox Chabad Lubavitch movement dedicating their lives to the betterment of the Jewish community.

They are survived by their two-year-old son, Moshe, who barely escaped the attack with his nanny.

A member of the Jewish community, Aaron Abraham says, "We want to keep the work of the rabbi alive. We hope their memories will live on with our efforts."
