Pakur: A shocking case of crime against minor tribal girls has surfaced in Jharkhand. Four girls belonging to the Pahadia tribe were allegedly kidnapped from their hostel and raped by more than 20 men in Pakur district.
The girls were staying in the hostel of Christian missionary school. Villagers informed the police about the incident that took place on Monday night.
"They came at 11pm and took us to the jungle. They tried to kill us. The villagers then rescued us," said one of the survivors.
The police have detained some men from the area for questioning. The girls have been sent for medical examinations. The girls are from the Pahadia tribe on which the government spends a large amount of money to ensure better education and facilities.
"They locked all the teachers inside, entered the girls' hostel and took them outside," said the missionary school principal.
