Srinagar: There was an uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Saturday with the BJP and the Panthers Party demanding a resolution against Pakistan for condemning Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's hanging.

The BJP and the Panthers Party MLAs created a row in the house and party MLAs were seen standing on benches and shouting slogans. The parties are demanding a resolution condemning Pakistan, just like the one passed by Parliament on Friday.

Parliament on Friday rejected Pakistan Assembly's resolution on Afzal Guru and said that it amounts to interference in India's internal affairs. Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar moved the draft resolution in the House and while unanimously adopting the resolution said, "House rejects the interference into internal affairs of India. The entire J&K including the illegally occupied part of Kashmir is and shall always be an integral part of India."

In its resolution passed on Thursday, Pakistani Parliament had condemned Afzal Guru's execution and demanded that his body be returned to his family. Afzal was executed and buried in at Delhi's Tihar Jail, triggering large protests in Kashmir.
