J&K cricket divide: Players, association work on compromise

Srinagar: A day after 12 Kashmiri cricketers boycotted a Ranji match alleging regional bias, the dispute seems to have been resolved. The players and the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) are reportedly working out a compromise now. It could involve an apology by the players.

The boycott was led by state team captain Samiullah Beigh. They had levelled allegations of regional bias by selectors and coach Bishan Singh Bedi.

They alleged that Bedi was reportedly giving preference to players from Jammu over them. Bedi has so far refused to comment.
