New Delhi: After CNN-IBN reported the plight of a five-day-old baby girl with a cleft lip who was found abandoned at a Srinagar hospital a few days ago, the Department of Health, Jammu and Kashmir, has come forward to help her. The director of the department said that it was willing to bear the expenses of the girl's treatment.
Doctors have said that the girl cannot suckle milk properly due to her disability and has to be fed through a tube.
Corrective surrgery can only be done after she reaches the age of three, they say.

CNN-IBN had reported on the plight of the 5-day-old baby girl who was found abandoned at a Srinagar hospital a few days ago.
Meanwhile, no one has come forward to claim her so far.
