J&K: Jawan killed in ambush in Kishtwar, firing on

Kishtwar: An army jawan was late on Wednesday night killed in an ambush in a village in Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir following which the army cordoned off the area.

According to latest reports, firing is continuing in the area from both sides.

Meanwhile, the army has also launched search for Jahangir Sarori, a militant wanted in the Delhi High Court blast, who is believed to be one of the terrorists involved in the ambush.

Acting on a tip off about the presence of militants in Palmar area of Kishtwar district, troops of 17 Rashtriya Rifles and police launched a joint cordon and search operation in the area on Wednesday night.
