Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah broke down in the Assembly on Tuesday evening after opposition PDP confronted him over the killing of a youth in Baramulla during protests earlier in the day. Baramulla witnessed protests on Tuesday over the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and the killing of a youth in Pulwama.
The PDP shouted slogans against the government in the Assembly and some of its members walked out. The Independent MLAs too demanded answers over the killing of the Baramulla youth and created a ruckus in the state legislature.
Omar Abdullah is expected to make a statement shortly.
