J&K: Omar Abdullah's uncle calls India the enemy of Kashmiris

CNN-IBN | Updated Nov 13, 2012 at 09:43am IST

New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is courting yet another controversy, this time over his uncle Mustafa Kamal's statement. Kamal claimed that it was the government of India, not Pakistan that was the real enemy of Kashmiris.

He also accused Indian security forces of having vested interests and purposely denying peace to Kashmir. Slamming the statements, the BJP has asked the Chief Minister to seek an apology but Omar Abdullah responded on Twitter saying one should never work with babies, animals or relatives.

Kamal had said, “I have no hesitation in saying that our enemy is our country itself. Pakistan is not our enemy. The whole world is asking for the issue to be resolved.”
