Click to play videoJammu: The Congress has issued a show-cause notice to party MP Madan Lal Sharma for making comments against Sonia Gandhi at a rally in Jammu on Sunday.
Sharma had alleged that the State Assembly Speaker Tara Chand and former state party chief Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed were involved in the sex scandal and Sonia Gandhi and Gulam Nabi Azad’s intervention saved them.
And just 24 hours after he made this accusation against the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly speaker, Sharma denied having said anything about the sex scandal.
Even though Sharma denied the accusations, the damage is already done.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said appropriate action would be taken against Sharma. State Party Chief Saifuddin Soz has also said Sharma will be punished for making what he called an “obnoxious and irresponsible” statement.
