Shano Begum, a resident of Bhaderwah is a mother of 3 and claims she was raped thrice in August by the Laskar militants.
She was five months pregnant at that time. But Shano gathered the courage to take on dreaded militants after one of the accused was arrested by the police last week.
Her move is being hailed as extremely courageous especially when her family is passing through a tough phase.
difficult times with her in laws suffering from leprosy and paralysys.
Shano Begum has since been provided security cover.
For now Begum walks around with security, aware of the risk she has taken and also aware that many women like her would draw some courage out of this incident.
