Mumbai: It is not only on silver screen that actor John Abraham comes to the rescue of the damsel in distress. In real life too, he is as chivalrous, as was seen at an awards function in Mumbai on Saturday.
The occasion was the presentation of the ninth Rajiv Gandhi awards at the Shanmukhananda Hall in central Mumbai.
While John was one of the recipients of the prestigious award, Maharashtra Congress Committee President Prabha Rau was one of the guests, scheduled to present the awards.
When Rau was climbing the stairs to the stage, she stumbled and was about to lose her balance but John, who was sitting in the front row, rushed to support her and ensured that the rest of her short climb onto the stage was uneventful.
