Mumbai: It's a film everyone's been talking about thanks to its slick promos. The music release of Johnny Gaddar had the cast and crew very much in tune with the upbeat soundtrack of the film.
From veteran actors to fresh newcomers, the music launch hit the right note.
While for veteran actor Dharmendra, co-starring with debutant actor Neil Mukesh, grandson of legendary singer Mukesh, brought back memories of the late singer.
“I am very attached to Mukesh saab, it was his song which became popular and was on number one spot for years on the radio,” says Dharmendra.
The music of Johnny Gaddar also has rap star Hard Kaur collaborating with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's soundtrack. So expect something for all musical tastes.
“There is a title song and there is one song which is in collaboration with a very talented artist from UK,” says Shankar.
Neil’s favourite song is Doobiye Mere Pyaar Mein and he says, “You have to hear that song. It’s superb.”
“There are also Telugu and Tamil versions of the title song, which is a new thing,” says director Sriram Raghavan.
With Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy sharing the royalties from the sale of Johnny Gadar audio CDs, well, they're certainly singing all the way to the bank.
