"One kid’s dad is from the polythene bag factory and another family has a wholesale shop of dry fruits and another is a property dealer,” says Delhi Police officer.
It wasn’t so much the greed for money that made these youngsters commit these crimes but for the thrill of it and to show off to their fellow teenagers. They would steal money and immediately blow it all up on movies and expensive meal at fancy restaurants.
At the time of arrest the police recovered one hand bag, six expensive mobile phones, seven ATM cards, twp metro passes and 1700 rupees. All of them stolen.
The police suspect this was what they looted almost on a daily basis and they were getting better at their job.
