New Delhi: After several hoax e-mails about terrorist attacks in the wake of the Mumbai train blasts, President A P J Abdul Kalam has received an anonymous "threatening mail", informed sources said on Thursday.
The e-mail was sent from leading web portal Yahoo! and security agencies have launched a probe to trace its sender, the sources added.
The e-mail, received on Wednesday evening on the President's official website - presidentofindia.nic.in - contained a threat to his life, the sources said.
Security officials immediately took all necessary precautions and simultaneously launched an operation to trace the e-mail.
In the wake of the blasts on Mumbai's commuter trains on July 11, newspapers and television channels have received e-mails and phone calls from unidentified persons who either claimed responsibility for the attacks or threatened more such strikes.
Recently, police arrested a youth named Sumit Tamrakar from Bhopal for sending an e-mail to a Hindi newspaper that claimed responsibility for the Mumbai blasts.
