New Delhi: Even as the political blame game continues on Sunday's Kalka Mail accident, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi visited the Kanpur Civil Hospital on Tuesday.
He met the injured undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The Prime Minister and the UPA government have come under fire for allegedly neglecting the Railways Ministry and its being said that Rahul's visit comes as a repair job by the Congress.
The Opposition criticised the government and the Prime Minister for neglecting the Railway Ministry. Minister of State for Railways Mukul Roy is also under fire, for not visiting the accident sites.
The death toll from the rail accident stands at 67 with atleast 250 people injured but it is said that the figure could rise even further.
