Chennai: Actors Kamal Hasan and Prabhu Deva made a rare appearance together in Chennai on Monday to inaugurate a dance school. Both the actors - who are known for their mesmerising dance moves - couldn't help but remember Michael Jackson at the event.
"I've been impressed by his music and his career. His career is like that of a child star who rose in the business. That's where I see he's a captive of his image. And as you can see it, it's both an exhilarating story and a sad story," said Kamal Hasan.
"In his life, he was lonely in a crowd. Probably this was the way it had to go. We had precedents like this with Elvis Presley and some other big stars. That way I'm a greater fan of The Beatles who have kept their equilibrium inspite of their fame," he added.
The stars were inaugurating a dance school founded by close friend dance master Raghuram.
Though he is trained in classical dance himself, Kamal Hasan says has no intentions of shaking a leg on screen anytime soon.
"I was trained classically, but it seems like another life. That was a long time back," says he.
And these days, he is more worked up about the daredevil stunts that daughter Shruti Hasan is performing in her debut film Luck, rather than anything that he is doing himself.
"I was a bit worried because I've been there and done it and been done by it, but she came out quite well. Just a few scratches and bruises - no broken bones," he stated.
Kamal Hasan will be seen next in Unnaippol Oruvan the remake of A Wednesday, co-starring Mohan Lal and slated for an August release.
