New Delhi: The buzz around the ancient Indian sexual text Kama Sutra never ends. After spiritual guru Deepak Chopra’s version of Vatsyayan's classic released last week, another edition to the manual hit the stores on Saturday.
Kama Sutra: The Art of making Love to a Woman by writer diplomat Pavan K Verma was launched on Saturday evening in the Capital.
Verma called the book his tribute to Vatsyayan, and said that though Kama Sutra had been written in the 3rd Century AD, it still had a place in the scheme of things today.
“We need to resurrect the Kama Sutra from the misunderstanding that the book is about technique which it is not, it is about sentiments," Verma was quoted as saying by PTI.
The author is also the Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
"The book is written in his own imitable style with witty prose and it has illustrations which gives it a coffee-table feel," PTI quoted Pramod Kapoor of Roli Book Publishers, as saying.
Last month, another interpretation of Kamasutra, New Age Kama Sutra for Women by Dr Alka Pande was launched.
