Mumbai: Film Karma Aur Holi which has been lying the cans for a while, finally gets a release this weekend, but the film is making more news for leading lady Sushmita Sen's campaign against it.
Meanwhile co-actor Suchitra Krishnamurthy decided to stand up and taken on Sushmita's allegations against the film.
Earlier Sushmita Sen made it clear that she was distancing herself from her international co-production Karma Aur Holi co-starring Randeep Hooda, Naomi Campbell, Suchitra Krishnamurthy.
"The film is not complete, the post production is left ,despite it being promoted in a sleazy way initially I still supported the film up until now where it's beyond me to support the film," said Sushmita.
Though Sushmita refused to promote the film in any way her statements itself gave Karma Aur Holi more publicity than it could probably get otherwise.
And the former Miss Universes' statements against the film got co-actor Suchitra Krishnamurthy all worked up.
"When I first heard it I was angry, but then I thought why was I getting emotional may be it's a publicity stunt and she's trying to get attention. But it's not fair on her part when you are associating yourself to a project you should stand by it , whatever she's doing is not professional and ethical," said Suchitra.
"Whatever is happening - the buzz is helping the film," said director Manish Gupta.
As they say any publicity is good publicity, Karma Aur Holi releases on March 6 in both English and Hindi.
