Bangalore: The rift between former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and his successor Sadananda Gowda seems to be widening. Gowda has removed his media advisor RP Jagadeesha, who is a Yeddyurappa loyalist. Jagadeesha had been appointed by Yeddyurappa and continued to hold the post even after Gowda took over.

Gowda claimed Jagadeesha has been sacked for 'skipping duty'.

This comes amidst claims made by Yeddyurappa that he has been promised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership that he'll be given the post of the Karnataka Chief Minister soon.

However, Gowda, on the other hand has been maintaining that he has been assured by the party that he will remain the Chief Minister.
