Karnataka MLAs desert flood victims; enjoy outing

New Delhi: North Karnataka is still reeling under the after-effects of the worst floods of the century but far away from the scenes of devastation, Karnataka's modern day Neros are enjoying five star comforts at the luxury hotels in far away Hyderabad and Goa.
The BJP MLAs loyal to the mining baron Reddy brothers of Bellary who have deserted their people in their hour of need, have a single point agenda: how to unseat chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.
A BJP MLA at a hotel in Hyderabad said, "We are 57 MLAs, some of them are here, rest of them are in Goa and Indore."
The Reddy brothers, who are busy negotiating their power deals with the BJP leadership in Delhi, seem unfazed by criticism that they should be involved in flood relief work instead.
G Karunakara Reddy, Revenue Minister said, "Officials are doing their job. MLAs don't need to be there. "
CNN-IBN has learnt that of a total of 60 MLAs in the Reddy camp, over 30 are from the flood hit districts. The only leader still touring the flood affected areas is ironically chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said, If these MLAs don’t return, I will go to their constituencies and ask people to decide their fate.
The contrast between suffering people and power hungry MLAs has only angered civil society in Karnataka.
Eminent Writer Dr U R Ananthamurthy said, "Politicians going to resorts and camp there, this the most shameful chapter in Karnataka.
With elections in Karnataka more than three years away, it may be some while yet before the suffering masses can take their revenge on the politicians who have betrayed their trust.

The way karnataka govt is functioning i dont think so it would be making any good foundation for the BJP
