BANGALORE: Exuding confidence of cracking the murder of KAS officer S P Mahantesh soon, Home Minister R Ashok on Thursday said that the police were monitoring four people in Kerala in this regard.
No arrests have been made yet, Ashok told reporters while claiming that the investigating team had got important leads on the killers of Mahantesh, the details of which he refused to divulge.
“One investigation team each has been sent to Chennai and Kerala. Shortly all details will be made public,” he added.The police have also cracked the dacoity case where a gang of armed people looted `1.87 crore from a vehicle belonging to CMS Securitas Ltd, which provides ATM replenishment and cash deposit services to banks, Ashok claimed.
SDPI Demands Ashok’s Resignation
Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) demanded the resignation of Home Minister R Ashok for failing to act on the murder of Mahantesh.
They also demanded the resignation of Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee owing to the falling value of rupee.
They alleged that the common man was paying the price through hike in the petrol prices. Member of Bangalore District Working Committee Moulana Saifullah said that the police are trying to deviate by saying that Mahantesh was murdered on personal grounds.
