The Kashmir Valley on Sunday experienced its coldest night this winter. The Jammu Srinagar highway is shut for the third consecutive day today. But the power crisis could abate. A 400 kilowatt line has been repaired, and Kashmir has started getting power from the Northern Grid. The administration says the Kishenpore-Pampore line will be repaired by Monday evening. Snow and rainfall has affected transmission lines in the Pir Panjal range and other grid stations forcing the valley into a power blackout.
