Click to play videoThe Kashmir Valley on Sunday experienced its coldest night this winter. The Jammu Srinagar highway is shut for the third consecutive day today. But the power crisis could abate. A 400 kilowatt line has been repaired, and Kashmir has started getting power from the Northern Grid. The administration says the Kishenpore-Pampore line will be repaired by Monday evening. Snow and rainfall has affected transmission lines in the Pir Panjal range and other grid stations forcing the valley into a power blackout.
