New Delhi: Fresh clashes have broken out between protestors and police in Srinagar after a grenade attack at the house of house of Jamiat Ahli Hadees President Maulana Showkat Ahmad Shah.
Protestors asked shops in Maisuma to shut down and burnt tyres to protest the attack.
His supporters are accusing the government of trying to eliminate him for supporting the Kashmir Coordination Committee.
Shah is a member of the Coordination Committee which is spearheading the ongoing agitation in the valley for right to self-determination.
But the administration says a lesser known militant outfit Hizb-ul Muslimeen has claimed responsibility for the attack.
