Kataria quits NIIT to start own venture

New Delhi: Head of communications at the two NIIT group companies Sanjiv Kataria has quit the organisation to start his own consutancy.

Kataria, who was Group Vice President (Corporate Communications), put in his papers last month to start his own communication and public relations consultancy.

"The new firm we are starting out will focus both on external and internal communications for its clients in the services sector. The greater focus will be on internal communications," he said.

Kataria has been joined in the new venture by Vinita Chawla, who has edited publications like Computers and Communications, Computerworld India and HT Tech4You.

Kataria was with NIIT for 18 years and was instrumental building NIIT brand along with the top team at the company. He has also worked in DCM and ITDC.
