Mumbai: From a brooding young man to doing wild dancing steps, actor Kay Kay Menon has come a long way. And with six more releases lined up this year, Kay Kay is all over Bollywood and the actor is certainly not complaining.
“I don’t know how to dance so the sequence in Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd wasn’t choreographed. It is situational,” says Kay Kay.
And of course, the carefree act could also be a celebration of Kay Kay's success at the box office.
His last film Black Friday faced tremendous trouble before its release but his performance has made people sit up and take notice. The success of the film was good enough to convince him that this is India's best Oscar bet next year.
“The film is cinematically brilliant. I dare anyone to make this in India and I am sure it should go to the Oscars,” says Kay Kay.
With a formidable line-up of films following Honeymoon Travels and Black Friday, it will be hard to miss Kay Kay this year.
“I am doing Metro, then a film called Shunya which is about a sportsperson. Then there is also a movie called Via Darjeeling,” Kay Kay informs.
Oscar or not, Kay Kay has finally arrived. So, it seems it’s just the time for the actor to look out for a few awards and loads of mainstream recognition.
