New Delhi: The split in Team Anna may become permanent in the next few days with Arvind Kejriwal talking of forming a political outfit. And sources say Anna Hazare will have nothing to do with it.
"I had long time back decide not to contest elections. I have given my life for social service and if I seek elections, then I am working for myself," Anna said.
Anna in Pune, re-emphasised his decision to stay away from politics but will his Wednesday meeting with Arvind Kejriwal and other IAC members bring about a change?
"I have decided to consult various experienced people to decide future action," Anna said.
After his protest rally in Delhi, Kejriwal now plans to hold a meeting with Anna in the Capital and discuss the findings of a survey conducted by India Against Corruption which indicates that nearly 76 per cent people are in favour of forming a political party.
The last time Kejriwal had called for a protest at the Jantar Mantar, former Team Anna member, Kiran Bedi chose to stay away, and this time however, it may perhaps be Anna's presence that will draw her back to attend the discussion.
Even as Kejriwal nurses political ambitions, Anna is keeping a cautious distance from the political arena. The question is will Wednesday's meeting be enough to change Anna's mind and drum up enough support for Kejriwal's political dream?
