With one more person succumbing to burns at a private
hospital here, the toll in the LPG tanker lorry explosion has risen to 20.
Pramod (42), who had sustained serious burns, died without
responding to treatment, hospital sources said. Five of his relatives,
including parents, had died earlier.
The mishap occurred on August 27 when the LPG tanker hit a
road divider and exploded at Chala, about six kms from Kannur.
Several houses, shops and vehicles were gutted in the
ravaging fire.
