Thiruvananthapuram: Newly appointed Kerala Transport Minister Jose Thettayil has tested positive for Influenza A(H1N1), an official confirmed on Saturday.
The test result came on Saturday night, confirming that Thettayil is down with swine flu, Amar S Fettle, state nodal officer of H1N1, told IANS.
"Right now he is admitted to a private hospital here," said Fettle.
Thettayil, who belongs to a faction of the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) which owes its allegiance to the ruling Left Democratic Front, was sworn in last month.
