Idukki: The Special Investigating Team (SIT) probing various charges against former CPM Idukki secretary M M Mani is likely to file an additional affidavit in the Supreme Court in connection with the speech made by Mani at 10th mile near Adimali on Friday. As the Supreme Court is not likely to take up the case on Monday with Mani seeking ten days’ time, the prosecution has sufficient time to file the additional charges against Mani, sources said.
The matter would be presented after translating the speech into English, the sources said. This will be done only after ensuring the veracity of the speech made by Mani, sources said. However, the SIT is not going to take evidence from those present at the function as there is no criminal case pending, sources said.
The SIT is all set to file a report in the JFCM court in Nedumkandam giving names of the accused in the Baby murder case, on Monday.
