Mumbai: One time world heavyweight champion Khali who is currently in India — will be featured in a Hindi film for children Ramaa -The Saviour — where he plays a protector.
A little after he finished shooting for his film Kushti along with Rajpal Yadav, this seven-feet-tall WWE star started shooting for his next Ramaa -The Saviour which also stars Tanushree Dutta.
Khali plays Vaali a protector of an island called Aasra in this film for children.
"We wanted to cast Khali for the film as he has a long fan following of children, and after all this is a film for children," says producer Abdul Aziz Barubgar.
However films are not new to 'The Great Khali' who also featured in the Adam Sandler starrer The Longest Yard and will soon be seen in yet another Hollywood production — Get Smart — a comedy starring Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson.
"I play a character who works under the greatest don in Get Smart, but when I don't like his ways I throw him out. At first I play the bad guy and later the good guy," says Khali.
Seems like this wrestler has got a good footing in the world of entertainment, be it Bollywood or Hollywood.
