New Delhi / Hyderabad: Following the twin blasts in Hyderabad on Saturday evening tension escalated in the city, as the injured were rushed to hospitals in ambulances, city buses and cars.
The 10,000-strong city police was ordered out on the streets to check any violent backlash. Till late in the night, no untoward incidents were reported.
Heartrending scenes were witnessed at Hyderabad’s Osmania hospital, where the dead and injured were brought, with wailing relatives thronging the premises looking for their missing kins.
"I am looking for my niece who went to buy some books at a bookshop in Kothi, overlooking Gokul Chat Bhandar," said a relative of Pratyusha, a young student who could not be traced.
