Los Angeles: Pop star Katy Perry was not ready to have kids and this is being cited as the reason of her split from husband Russel Brand. The 27-year-old talks about her marriage to Brand in her new movie Katy Perry: Part of Me.
In between snippets of concert performances, the superstar drops hint that differences between her and Brand started with disagreements over starting a family, reported Us magazine. In one backstage scene of the documentary, Brand texts Perry a picture from McDonald's and jokes that they should name their child 'Ronald'.
But a few minutes later, the Wide Awake singer admits that babies are definitely not on her immediate agenda. "A baby can't have a baby - and I'm still a baby," she said. "Russell feels there's no point in being married if you don't have kids," a source said.
