New Delhi: Bollywood actor and popular item girl Koena Mitra is in the news again, only this time it's legal.
The sultry beauty has slapped a legal notice on event organiser and actor Dolly Bindra.
Koena alleges that Dolly and her husband made threatening calls asking her to pay them Rs 8 lakh for "getting" her a role in a movie, Koena's counsel Nilesh Pawaskar said.
In the notice to Dolly, Koena said that she would file a complaint with the police against her on charges of criminal intimidation, defamation and extortion if the calls did not stop.
"Mitra had been signed on for a project in December and Bindra would call her up saying she had got her the role and demanded money for doing so. When she refused to pay, Bindra and her husband began making threatening calls to Mitra," PTI quoted Pawaskar as saying.
Pawaskar added that Koena has also filed a non-cognisable complaint with the Oshiwara police authorities who summoned Bindra to the police station on Wednesday to speak to her on the issue.
