Kolkata: A fire broke out in the slums of Ultadanga in the northern part of Kolkata early on Saturday morning. Twenty fire tenders rushed to the spot to battle the flames, disaster management and fire services minister Javed Khan said.
He said the fire broke out at 6.00 am and was under control.
Investigations were on to pinpoint the cause of the fire and to assess the extent of damage. No casualties were reported.
