Mumbai: Fourteen-year-old Sanchita from Kolkata has won Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs contest on Saturday.

Thirteen-year-old Divakar Sharma from Delhi was the first runner-up while 11-year-old Sameer Mohammad from Mumbai came third.

The panel of judges consisted of playback singers Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet and music composer, Bappi Lahiri. However, the final selection was made through an SMS poll.

The show had kicked off four months back on Zee TV with 22 contestants in the seven to 14 year age group.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan announced the names of the winners and handed over the awards to them.

Pawni Pandey and Abhrokanti Saha won the judges’ awards while the first runner up, Divakar Sharma, was presented a special prize by Shiamak Davar.

The winner, Sanchita, says she learnt music from her mother and father, who sings for radio and television shows.
