BANGALORE: State BJP president K S Eshwarappa on Sunday said the state party unit had urged the party high-command to give a suitable post for embattled former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.
“We have demanded that the party high command give a suitable post to Yeddyurappa, and we are confident that our request will be considered favourably,” Eshwarappa told reporters here on Sunday.
He added that the party would extend all support to Yeddyurappa to come out of his present problems. “Yeddyurappa has the capacity to cross all hurdles and emerge as victorious. If anybody else had been in his place, he would have committed suicide by this time,” Eshwarappa said.
Labour Minister B N Bachchegowda also expressed similar views on Yeddyurappa’s future course of action. “Yeddyurappa is our unquestionable leader. The question of him quitting the party doesn’t arise at all.”
The minister along with MLAs Suresh Gowda, Manappa Vajjal and others met Eshwarappa and RSS leader Santosh.
