Mumbai: The makers of 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' are planning to make a sequel to the film, which has raked in nearly Rs 29 crore by the fifth day of its release.
"Yes, we'll try to do a sequel to the film," said director Sachin Yardi at a press conference here. The film though has been panned by critics.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor, 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' is a sequel to the 2005 film, 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum'.

Have a look at the Hindi and English films being released on July 27, 2012.

'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum', a sequel to 2005 film 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum' promises a double dose of entertainment as actor-duo Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor team up after seven years for the sex comedy.

Directed by Sachin Yardi, the film revolves around brothers Adi (Tushar), an aspiring hero and Sid (Riteish), a disc jockey (DJ).

Anu (Neha Sharma) plays Adi's cousin and also his love interest, while former beauty queen Sarah Jane Dias plays sidekick to Sid's character.

'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' has been in the news for its bold and punchy dialogues, heard through its trailers.

The film's songs have already set the mood with wacky lyrics in tracks like 'Teri shirt da button' and 'Dil garden garden ho gaya'.

The film is releasing with an 'A' certificate, allowing only adult audiences in theatres.

Ekta believes the audience has grown up and 'kool' with adult jokes. "It's an adult-comedy. We had a 'Delhi Belly' last year. It clearly shows India has got a sense of humour now. We are okay with adult jokes because we crack them in our everyday lives," she said.

Neha Sharma was earlier seen in 'Crook' opposite Bollywood's serial kisser Emraan Hashmi.

Ekta Kapoor is unhappy with some of the cuts suggested by the censor board.

Actors Chunky Pandey and Anupam Kher will also be seen in the film, co-produced by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor.

'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' pokes fun at many Bollywood films like 'The Dirty Picture', Singham', 'Devdas' and others.

The makers of 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' are well prepared for bad reviews from the film critics.

Going by the promos, Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor dominate the film.

With no other big budget Bollywood films being released this week, 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' stands fair chances at the box office.

So watch out for these 'Super Kool' stars this Friday.

Also releasing with 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' is director Manish Manikpuri's small budget film 'Aalaap'.

It features Amit Purohit, Pitobash Tripathy, Harsh Rajput, Aabid Shamim, Abhimanyu Singh, Ruhi Chaturvedi, Rituparna Sengupta, Onkardas Manikpuri, Murli Sharma and Raghubir Yadav.

'Aalaap' is the journey of a Chhattisgarh-based rock band that promises to be the voice of the youth and promises to fight violence with music.

Produced by Nishant Tripathi and Abhishek Mishra of Shri Shankaracharya Arts, the film was shot in dense forests of Chhattisgarh and the borders of the volatile state.

The makers of 'Aalaap' are not scared of 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' being released on the same day.

'Ice Age: Continental Drift' featuring a woolly mammoth and his prehistoric friends is also being released this Friday.

Directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier, the film will showcase the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Keke Palmer, Chris Wedge, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Being released in 2D and 3D format, it is the fourth film in the animated series 'Ice Age'.

Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum
Ekta Kapoor says she is overwhelmed by the box office response to 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum'. "We were told that since our brand was seven years old, we'll have a Rs 10 crore opening. We had the highest opening during Ramzan. I'm totally overwhelmed," Ekta said at a press conference Wednesday.
"When I started this film, I had a profit and loss sheet. The film had cost us Rs 13 crore and we thought it will make Rs 15 crore. We said if it crosses Rs 20, we'll call it a hit and if crosses Rs 25 crore, it will be a super hit. Today on the fifth day, it has crossed Rs 29.5 crore," she said.
On the negative response from critics on the film, Ekta said it was expected. "Critics were so vocal about how much they hated the film. We'll change next time," she said.
Apologising to people who might have felt offended by the humour in the film, Ekta said the jokes were meant to make fun of films and not people.
"I never took off on any one person. The jokes were supposed to be on movies. I want to say sorry to everyone who thinks that they have been made fun of by us," she said.
After her previous film, 'The Dirty Picture', was not telecast on prime time TV despite 59 cuts, Ekta has made sure this does not happen to 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum'.
"We have worked on alternative scenes for television viewing of the film," she said. Ekta said she was scared of people comparing 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' with 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum'.
"Once you go wider with the budget and the name of the film, there are more view points. All sequels have a comparison issue. That is why I don't do franchises on television," she said.
Speaking more on television, she said that it was her "bread and butter" and she would dedicate the next six months only to TV.
