Court rules in Star's favour, not Balaji's

moneycontrol.com

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court declined to grant relief to Balaji Telefilms for its show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’.

The channel, Star TV had sent a termination notice to Balaji on October 10 saying that Balaji has time till November 10 to change the storyline of the show and stop the show from being telecast.

Star took this step because of the falling TRP’s, on the other hand Balaji Telefilms today argued that their show wasn’t promoted and they came up with figures comparing the promotion for Kyunki.

But the bench refused to accept this argument by Balaji and the doors seem to be closed for the serial as far as its telecast is concerned.

However, there are three days more to come up with an appeal and it will be very interesting to see Balaji appeal on this and if it goes to a high authority.

So for the time being, there is no interim relief at all and it seems to be the end of the door for the serial.
