Mumbai: The police in Kishtwar are on the lookout for Shakir, who used to work in murdered starlet Laila Khan's household. According to the police, Shakir along with Pervez Tak carried out the murders of Laila and her family members in the Igatpuri farmhouse.
The police believe that jealousy is the motive for the murder and are on the lookout for Shakir who may be hiding in Himachal Pradesh.
Laila Khan's grandmother will be crucial to solve the murder case of Laila and her family as her DNA samples would ascertain the identity of skeletons found at Igatpuri, Nashik, police said on Friday.
"We will request Laila's grandmother to give her DNA samples," joint commissioner of police (crime) Himanshu Roy said.
Besides, toxicology test will be done to find out if key accused Pervez Tak had poisoned the victims. If we find out that he has, then it becomes a fit case of pre-meditated offence, he said.
