New Delhi: Students of the Lal Masjid madarsa forcibly entered a massage parlour abducting at least 12 people, including nine Chinese in a posh area of Islamabad. Five of the Chinese were reported to be women.
They have been detained for counseling after they did not pay heed to a series of appeals not to indulge in immoral activities, Lal Masjid administrator, Abdul Rashid Ghazi said.
Three Pakistanis were also taken hostage.
Boys and burqa-clad girls of the two madarsas run by the Lal Masjid raided the parlour and kidnapped the 12 people after overpowering three Pakistani guards, who were also injured in the incident.
The students after entering the parlour ordered the Chinese man and women who were present there to accompany them.
When they refused, the students beat them up and forcibly took them to the Jamia Hafsa madarsa compound, according the The News.
The students also accused the abducted people of rendering un-Islamic and unlawful services.
Police in Abpara locality, where the Masjid is located, held the first round of talks with Ghazi on Saturday morning to get the captives released but the cleric apparently was firm about their custody.
