Mumbai: It's a film that got Lara Dutta to sit up and take notice and she wants you to do that as well.

The former Miss Universe-turned-Bollywood actor wants you to watch Sold - a film dealing with the global issue of human trafficking.

The film is part of MTV's campaign to end exploitation and trafficking and Lara is the South Asian ambassador for the cause.

“The documentary is so good that I thought that I should be a part of it and spread the awareness about human trafficking,” says Lara.

According to Lara, the film was a learning experience for her as she got to know a lot about the murky business of human trafficking.

“As you will see in the documentary that strangers are not trafficking people. It’s the people that they know very well who do this. Their aunts, uncles and even brothers,” says Lara.

So, now you can do your bit and watch the film, which premieres on Saturday on MTV.
