New Delhi: Controversial criminal lawyer Ram Jethmalani appearing for former BJP MLA Kalubhai Marwari, moved an application in Supreme Court on Monday, seeking recall of the apex court's directions ordering an SIT probe into the role of Narendra Modi and 62 others in Gujarat riots cases.
Activists say this could be an attempt by Narendra Modi to legally question the role of the SIT.
Supreme Court-appointed investigation team summoned Narendra Modi on Thursday for questioning on the Gulbarg Society carnage where over 60 people were killed on February 2002.
The SIT summons led the Congress to demand that Modi should step down as the chief minister.
