Chennai: After unprecedented violence took place inside the Madras High Court on Thursday and angry lawyers protested against the police courted arrest on Friday, the state government has categorically told the Tamil Nadu assembly that the violence erupted because the lawyers resisted the arrest of one of their colleagues and the angry men in black now need to answer tough questions about their own colleagues.

1. What action will they take against those lawyers who threw eggs at Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy inside a court room.

2. Why did they resist the arrest of their colleagues and why did they resort to stone throwing and setting fire to the Police station inside the high court.

3. Are fringe political and anti social groups taking over protests by lawyers?

Senior advocate and Member Bar council of India Dhanapal Raj said, "The bar council does take action against any lawyer who has indulged in violence in several cases the police themselves have filed complaints with us "

The police on their part need to answer:

1. If such a huge force was necessary inside the high court.

2. Could they have avoided arresting the lawyers inside the court.

3. Why did they retaliate by breaking vehicles belonging to lawyers and pelting stones back at lawyers.

DGP, Tamil Nadu KP.Jain said, "The police force is a very disciplined force and they acted according to orders . When we need to bring such a situation under control we need a large force"

There are tough questions which need tough answers and a tough solution, but perhaps the toughest question is how long before these two pillars of the Criminal Justice system start working together to ensure justice inside the very campus where they clashed violently.
