Legal notice to Ajay Devgn over 'Son of Sardaar'

Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab): A senior lawyer today issued a legal notice to actor and producer Ajay Devgn for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs in his upcoming flick 'Son of Sardar'.

As per the notice, lawyer Navkiran Singh decided to issue legal notices to the makers of the movie after watching the official trailer of 'Son of Sardaar' on Youtube.

The notice said that the film, in some parts, shows Sikhs in a bad light and hurts religious sentiments. The contents available to the public through the official trailer on Youtube contains 'absurd comments', the notice said, adding that "in case Sardars would not have been there, then on whom would the jokes be made."

'Son of Sardaar' is a remake of Telugu movie 'Maryada Ramanna' and stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.
The romantic drama will be released on Diwali, November 13.
'Son of Sardaar' is directed by Ashwini Dhir and co-produced by Ajay's home production and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
'Son Of Sardaar' has been shot in Patiala, Punjab.
It also features Juhi Chawla in a lead role.
Initially, the title 'Son Of Sardaar' was registered with actor Akshay Kumar's production house, but he allowed Ajay to use it.
Sonakshi is having a good year having delivered a superhit with Rowdy Rathore.
Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn had recently worked together in David Dhawan's 'Rascals'.
Production is slated for a Diwali release and the film promises to be a complete entertainer.
Sonakshi Sinha has another major film 'Joker' lined up this year with Akshay Kumar.
For stunt lovers, both Ajay and Sonakshi have some cool bike stunts in 'Son of Sardaar' that you must watch out for.
Maryada Ramanna was directed by SS Rajamouli, of the recent Eega fame.
But even the Telugu film from which Son of Sardaar is derived is a copy of a 1923 American silent movie 'Our Hospitality' starring Buster Keaton and Natalie Talmadge.
Ajay Devgn, is back from the success of Bol Bachchan with crazy antics in Son of Sardaar.
Sonakshi Sinha dances and romps her way into the heart of Sardaar Ajay Devgn. The heroine is one of Bollywood's most sought after now following a string of hit films.
Sonakshi has made her dad Shatrughan Sinha very proud. She said she carefully chooses her roles and prefers portraying the Indian culture through her parts in films.
Himesh Reshammiya and Sajid-Wajid have composed the music for the film.
The film has been produced by Ajay Devgn, NR Pachisia and Pravin Talreja.
It is said, Salman Khan has a special appearance in the film. The trailer for the out-an-out action comedy was released on July 20.
Arjan Bajwa, Tanuja, Vindu Dara Singh, Jitu Verma, Rajesh Vivek, Vishal, Naresh Vanga and Martin van Kaam are also part of the film.
The film has been made at a budget of Rs 50 crore.
Apparently, Rajinikanth's new release Kochadaiyaan won't make it into theatres in time for Diwali, as he had promised. Son of Sardaar is partially to be blamed for the delay.
Ajay Devgn's make up is reminiscent of his Legend of Bhagat Singh role.
The effervescent charm of Juhi Chawla will be seen on screen after a long time.
So far, Sonakshi has starred opposite all of Bollywood's most successful middle-aged actors - Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. But she will soon be seen with someone close to her own age - Imran Khan.

Navkiran requested Devgn to delete such dialogues from the film in public interest or his office would to take legal action against the Bollywood actor and all other persons involved in execution of this film on criminal as well as civil side.
