Mumbai: All good things come to an end. And some, come back with a bang! Remember the popular musical show Antakshari on Zee television, that kept us singing along for almost a decade?
The good news is that the show will be back on television on Star One channel from February next year.
A creation of Gajendra Singh, Antakshari will be anchored by actor Annu Kapoor, who anchored the show throughout the time it was on air.
In its new avatar, Antakshari - The Great Challenge, will see some interesting modifications to its format and an exciting reality aspect.
Reportedly, while Annu Kapoor has changed his surname from Kapoor to Kapur, Gajendra Singh has added additional alphabet 'R' to his first name and 'I' to his surname.
''I have always looked at opportunities to connect with viewers and this show synergizes with Star One's commitment of delivering entertaining and unique content. We have added new elements to the show which I am sure will be appreciated by the viewers. I have received wholehearted support from Sameer Nair and the entire Star group when I took this concept to them,'' Gajendrra Siingh of Sai Baba Productions was quoted as saying.
''This unit is like a family to me, I take this opportunity to congratulate Gajendrra and I wish him all the best. I am extremely delighted that he asked me to host the show. I can't wait to get back on the floors and hear Gaj say 'Action'!'' said Annu Kapur.
