Mumbai: The 3rd day of the Lakme Fashion week showcased designers Neeta Lulla, Pria Kataria Puri, Vikram Phadnis and Nandita Mahtani. Instead of her flamboyance and resplendent colour palate, this season Neeta Lulla went back with classic black and white and used fabrics made of bamboo.
“She's got taste. She knows what looks nice on which people,” says Hema Malini.
Pria Kataria Puri opened her show herself with her baby doll models rocking the ramp to Britney Spear's club anthems. Sonakshi Sinha was her showstopper.
“Sonakshi as a show stopper was very graceful and confident,” says Shatrugan Sinha.
And lastly Vikram Phadnis and Nandita Mahatani collaborated on the last show of the night. While Vikram showcased ethnic wear with Miss India contestants walking the ramp, Nandita focussed on western wear. And the Bollywood fraternity was present to cheer them on.
“Vikram's collection was really good and Nandita showcased good western line,” says Sushmita Sen.
“Vikram's Indian collection was amazing, The show was fabulous
“I'm going to be calling Vikram and begging for his clothe,” says Diya Mirza.
With Neeta Lulla using eco friendly fabrics to cut costs and Vikram and Nandita joining hands to host one show looks like recession has hit the fashion industry as well.
